The story about the farm
Our farmers Halldór and Elín have lived in Bjarnastaðir since the beginning of the century. They are farmers of both horses and sheep and Halldór nickname among other farmers is the Mountain King. Bjarnastaðir is close to Jökulsá á Fjöllum a mighty glacial river and Dettifoss waterfall as well.
From Bjarnastaðir farm we enjoy the great view od Öxafjörður and visit lake Mývatn a volcanic lake. Ásbyrgi, Jökulsárgljúfur, Dettifoss and Þeistareykir are in a riding distance from the farm as well.
